Purpose

The SOCHE Career Services Committee collaborates to support students and alumni by providing career and professional development resources, services, experiences and community connections that promote the essential information, skills, and behaviors necessary for career success.

Current Available College Internship Positions

City of Dayton, Department of Aviation – Aviation Engineering Internship: The City of Dayton is looking for an engineer who has experience with AutoCAD, fabrication knowledge, and an attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to measure and draft a project, as well as an intense desire to learn more about aviation facilities and the planning process.

MCR Medical – Global Market Research Intern: MCR Medical is seeking a motivated college student to support research and planning for potential international . This internship is ideal for a student interested in e-commerce, international business, market research, logistics, and consumer products.

InterLink, LLC – Junior Systems Administrator: Interlink is looking for an IT, computer science, or related field student who has a basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and hardware components. They will assist in the installation and configuration of software, workstations, and network hardware. This position will be for 4–6 months with an option to be hired full-time at the end.

Councils & Committees

SOCHE is dedicated to advancing higher education through active collaboration, resource and knowledge building, and effective professional development programs. To accomplish this, SOCHE administers 16 active Councils and Committees. The purpose of a SOCHE Council or Committee is to provide an opportunity for representatives from higher education to be a resource for one another, share information and best practices, identify common challenges, and, ultimately, broaden awareness of the resources, services, and activities in higher education. SOCHE is also dependent upon the Councils and Committees for substantial input on annual professional development programs.
