“Tomorrow’s Path: Career Services for the Future”

The Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) invites you to the 2024 SOCHE Career Services Conference, held on Friday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clark State’s Hollenbeck Bayley Conference Center (275 S. Limestone St.) in Springfield. The theme for our event is “Tomorrow’s Path: Career Services for the Future.”

During the morning, you will be able to choose from three different, repeating concurrent sessions that will show you how to help jobseekers identify and sell their transferable skills; provide you with insight into all the generations in today’s workplace, especially the group now graduating, Gen Z; and give you a peek into virtual networking options and how jobseekers can maximize their use of this modern tool.

Our lunchtime keynote, presented by Monique Frost from The Career Leadership Collective, will focus on developing career services that align with a contemporary work environment. Finally, we’ll end the day by hearing from a panel of experts who have been successful in implementing artificial intelligence (A.I.) in career services. They also will give you guidance on how you, too, can leverage this popular technology for the benefit of the students you serve.

Plan now to join us for our first in-person Career Services conference since 2017. We hope to see you there!

Councils & Committees

SOCHE is dedicated to advancing higher education through active collaboration, resource and knowledge building, and effective professional development programs. To accomplish this, SOCHE administers 16 active Councils and Committees. The purpose of a SOCHE Council or Committee is to provide an opportunity for representatives from higher education to be a resource for one another, share information and best practices, identify common challenges, and, ultimately, broaden awareness of the resources, services, and activities in higher education. SOCHE is also dependent upon the Councils and Committees for substantial input on annual professional development programs.
