Event Details

Join SOCHE at the Vets Moving Forward event hosted by Wright State University and SOCHE on Wednesday, May 24, from 3-7 p.m. at the Wright State University Student Union (3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy.).

Vets Moving Forward is an annual event focused on connecting veterans with resource organizations and jobs in the greater Miami Valley. This event will feature a resource fair area for organizations to share information on their mission with veterans. There will also be a job fair area for organizations to talk with veterans about positions within their companies. In addition, there will be a Dayton VA Medical Center enrollment fair for Veterans to sign up for VA services.

FREE rides are being provided by RTA and Greene CATS — just show proof of military service upon boarding.

Councils & Committees

SOCHE is dedicated to advancing higher education through active collaboration, resource and knowledge building, and effective professional development programs. To accomplish this, SOCHE administers 16 active Councils and Committees. The purpose of a SOCHE Council or Committee is to provide an opportunity for representatives from higher education to be a resource for one another, share information and best practices, identify common challenges, and, ultimately, broaden awareness of the resources, services, and activities in higher education. SOCHE is also dependent upon the Councils and Committees for substantial input on annual professional development programs.
