Vision

Establish and enhance Southwestern Ohio’s reputation as a national leader in cybersecurity education, research and private and public partnerships.

Mission

The Cybersecurity Consortium of Southwestern Ohio will serve as a highly valued Cincinnati-Dayton Regional Corridor resource for education, research and workforce development in cybersecurity and information assurance.

Objectives

As an educational resource:

  • Expand and strengthen cybersecurity educational programs and degrees across institutions
  • Serve as a regional resource for continuing education in cybersecurity
  • Direct and Expand student recruitment into effective educational pathways and degree programs.
  • Explore new learning paradigms for Cybersecurity Readiness & Capabilities within the Cincinnati-Dayton “Cyber Corridor”

As a research resource:

  • Explore new research paradigms for Cybersecurity Readiness & Capabilities within the Cincinnati-Dayton “Cyber Corridor”
  • Grow collaborative sponsored research in cybersecurity among CCSO academic institutions
  • Promote and support research partnerships with regional businesses and organizations
  • Grow our reputation as an important region for cybersecurity research
  • Develop regional communications and engagement practices that showcase the significant research contributions of CCSO members

As a catalyst for workforce development:

  • Establish and Maintain a Cybersecurity Capabilities Inventory – Regional Industry & Higher Education (Strengths & Gaps)
  • Expand employment opportunities for our graduates and enhance retention of talent in our region
  • Strengthen corporate and government partnerships resulting in expanded cybersecurity internships and co-ops
  • Focus attention on the availability and quality of programs and degrees in cybersecurity
