SOCHE Wright-Patt

SOCHE Wright-Patt provides SOCHE members with access to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base by serving as a clearinghouse of educational information. In addition, SOCHE Wright-Patt offers preliminary academic advising to the base’s employees and their families. SOCHE members benefit from the exposure at the base, and more than 22,000 military and civilian employees have helpful resources at hand.

SOCHE Wright-Patt Benefits

• On-base location in which prospective students may pick up the latest catalogs, materials, and quarterly/semester schedules of each of the member schools.
• Opportunities for prospective students/students to meet with the admissions or academic advisors from each of the member school(s).  The schedule for these visits is publicized at Wright Patterson in the bi-weekly electronic "Bulletin" and monthly in the on-base newspaper, "The Skywrighter."
• Quarterly "college fairs" in various locations on-base, where prospective students may pick up information on each of the member schools and speak directly with admissions counselors.  These fairs are publicized in the electronic "Bulletin" and in "The Skywrighter." The office also host off-base fairs at local businesses.
• On-base location for preliminary guidance which has a goal to help the prospective student select the university and academic program that best meets his/her academic circumstances.
• Direct relationship with Wright Patterson's Education and Training Flight, providing member schools with access to educational and classroom opportunities at Wright Patterson AFB.
