Sustainability Committee

The mission of the Sustainability Committee of SOCHE is to foster
sustainability on member campuses.  Given the many social, economic
and environmental challenges that face our campuses and the
communities we serve, a transition to sustainability in operations and
academics is imperative.  As such, this committee has formed to
address the complexities of creating meaningful, lasting change at our
institutions.

At Sustainability Committee meetings, members:
- Share the sustainability initiatives happening on their campuses.
- Identify opportunities to collaborate and support sustainability
  throughout the region.
- Invite guests from business, colleges, universities and local government to share best
  practices and product and service information.
- Plan regional and statewide opportunities for sharing and learning
  about campus sustainability outside our region.
