The Student Leadership Conference brings together students from across the state and beyond to participate in a day-long conference on topics that address student leadership issues. This year's conference will be led by featured speaker Sonny Melendrez, a respected multimedia personality that runs San Antonio's first all-internet commercial radio station. He has the honor of being included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as one of the Top 100 Radio Personalities Of All Time.

Blessed with multiple talents, Sonny is equally at home serving as TV host, actor, radio personality, writer, commercial spokesman, comedian, motivational speaker, or cartoon voice artist. His inventiveness and energetic style make him a much-sought-after performer. He has spoken extensively on leadership and how people can turn dreams into actions, which is the central theme for this year's leadership conference.

In addition to the featured speaker, several concurrent breakout sessions will focus on: the truths about leadership, student government issues, best practices of students leadership programs, and several other student led sessions.

This SOCHE conference offers students a valuable professional and personal development opportunity, and a chance to network with their peers from other campuses.

The fee for this conference is $5 for SOCHE members and $10 for non-members.

Casual attire and/or clothes that identify your school or campus organization.

Who should attend? All interested students as well as higher education personnel that oversee student programs and activities.
